"Chaplin untold Story, The Caravan's Trail" begins with the recent discovery of a mysterious letter that Charlie Chaplin kept secret and that was locked away in  the drawer of his personal bedside table for years.

This letter held the key to the question Chaplin asked himself for all his life.

"Who am I?"

With this letter in hand, Michael Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin's eldest son, takes us  on the roads for a journey into his personal perspective on his father's Work and the unexplored roots of the greatest figure of the American Cinema.

For decades, and for many different reasons, biographers, genealogists, historians, the CIA and the MI5 have tried to track Charlie Chaplin's real identity and background. The truth is that as he wasn't registered at his birth, no one, even himself, really knew exactly when and where he was born.

In 2012 Victoria Chaplin, Michael's sister, found a letter Charlie kept secret for years in a locked drawer of Charlie's personal bedside table.

In the letter it is clearly stated that Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, was born in 1889 in the caravan of the Gypsy Queen of Black Patch, Birmingham. Which would along with the little known fact that he was partially of  Romani descent.

We feel the Pariah character he created, the "Little Tramp" can be better understood in the light of his Romani heritage.
